The Australia-China Friendship Society NSW Inc. is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers. It was founded in 1952 to promote friendship and understanding between the peoples of Australia and China.
We believe that fostering trade and cultural links between the two countries is of vital importance.

ACTIVITIES
We organize tours to China and other countries, aiming to provide the best possible value for money;
We conduct classes in Chinese Medical Qigong and Chinese language;
We host monthly meetings where speakers with expert knowledge of China share their experience with the audience;
We organize excursions and social events for members and friends;
We raise money to support the education of disadvantaged children in China’s poorer areas;
We host delegations from China.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Meetings are normally held in the main hall of the Chinese Youth League, 10 Dixon Street, Sydney, on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 12 noon, and on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7 p.m.
For the talk at the noon meeting, a fee of $2 is charged. Participants usually meet beforehand at 12 noon to have a light lunch at a local restaurant at their own expense. For the evening meeting, a fee of $2 is charged at the door: this meeting is followed by an optional dinner at a nearby Chinese restaurant.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to people who support the Society’s aim of promoting friendship and understanding between the peoples of Australia and China.
Annual membership fees are $25 for Individuals, $30 for Families, and $20 for Concession members. Membership includes a monthly newsletter with articles of interest and information about future events, tours, etc.
